G Sreekumar.


Speaking about the project, Priyadharshan says, “The
film is set in thick Kanchi silk weaving industry and tells the story
of a man caught among the forces that be, the society he lives in and
the conflict between one's adopted ideals and individual dreams”.


It is a critical analysis of communism, which came
to India in early 1920s, Priyadharshan says and adds, “All these days I
made films with my head, but ‘Kanchivaram’ is a film from my heart”.
